Weightlifting Shoe Size Guide

Measure both feet and interpret brand size charts before converting men’s, women’s, UK, US or centimeter labels.

Quick answer

Use measured foot length and the exact model’s size chart, then confirm fit in both shoes. A familiar number or a generic men’s-to-women’s conversion is only a starting point.

Measure before converting

Follow the brand’s measuring instructions, standing with weight through the feet and using the socks relevant to the shoe. Record both feet rather than assuming they match. If the chart offers a foot-length column, use that measurement directly before converting through other sizing systems.

Nike explicitly distinguishes foot length in centimeters from the CM number printed on its shoe labels. Treating those as interchangeable can produce the wrong selection even when the measurement itself is accurate.

Read the label attached to the selected variation

US men’s, US women’s, UK and EU numbers are different systems. A marketplace dropdown can be especially confusing if it combines several audiences or sellers. Recheck the selected item title and size system after changing a color or size; a search query containing “women” does not establish what will ship.

Where a manufacturer displays paired men’s and women’s sizes, use that model’s pairing. Do not assume all brands use the same numerical offset or that two shoes with equivalent nominal lengths have identical volume.

Resolve borderline sizing with shape information

When between chart entries, read any model-specific advice and the return conditions. Avoid automatically adding an extra size for thick socks or automatically sizing down for lockdown. Both can mask an unsuitable shape.

Length is only one dimension. If the toes have enough space but the instep is squeezed, more length may create a loose heel without solving the pressure. Compare another last or verified width option. Keep the purchase record until the actual model and fit are settled.
